Lynlea Michaels is a contemporary artist and designer focusing on costume and fashion illustration. Originally from Southern California, Lynlea moved to New York in 2007 to study Fashion Design at Parsons, The New School for Design, and received a Bachelor's degree in Culture and Media Studies from Eugene Lang, The New School for Liberal Arts.
Lynlea has illustrated four children's books including Living With Grandma and Grandpa by Jeanette Grimm and The Kingdom of Irisia Parts I, II, III by Raemone Lee, and was a contributing artist for Kapa Magazine in 2018. She is also an experienced Sommelier and mixologist with cocktail creations featured in Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal and Imbibe Magazine. An avid traveler and adventurer, Lynlea has spent extended time in many diverse regions, including New York City, London, Asia, and Hawaii, which continue to inspire her current work.
Lynlea is currently pursuing an advanced degree in Costume Design for Film and Television at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles.
